Project Sunkalp | Camp KVT-MDTK-038 | 17.08.2026
34 women from Vedanthangal Village came forward to take an important step towards protecting their health through early cancer screening.
At the Project Sunkalp cancer screening camp held at the Panchayat Office, Vedanthangal Village, Madurantakam, every beneficiary screened was a woman. Together, we completed:
34 clinical breast examinations
34 oral cancer examinations
20 Pap smear screenings
Breast, cervical, and oral cancers can develop silently, without obvious symptoms in their early stages. Regular screening can help identify changes earlier, giving women the opportunity to seek timely medical care and improve their chances of better outcomes.
For many women in rural communities, accessing specialised healthcare can be difficult because of distance, cost, time, or lack of awareness. By bringing screening services directly to the village, Project Sunkalp is helping remove these barriers and making preventive healthcare more accessible.
Every woman who comes forward for screening is taking a proactive step towards her own health—and creating greater awareness among her family and community. Early detection is not just about finding cancer; it is about creating an opportunity for timely action.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to bring cancer awareness and screening closer to communities across Madurantakam, working alongside panchayats, PHCs, healthcare professionals, and CSR partners.
We believe every woman deserves access to preventive healthcare, regardless of where she lives. Together, we can build healthier, better-informed, and cancer-aware communities.
Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan. We provide transparent, camp-wise impact reports for every CSR partnership.
